A continuation of our April 19th seminar, today we will focus on conducting investigations into complaints of harassment.
So-called “medical marijuana”, i.e., legally-prescribed marijuana has been around for a few years now, and changes to our criminal law implementing broader legalization of cannabis across the country are looming. In this seminar we will examine the various ways marijuana usage impacts the workplace and provide you with the information you need to know to understand your responsibilities, as managers, now and into the future.
In this seminar, we will identify each of the legally required policies which must be prepared, each of the posters which must be obtained and posted in the workplace, and the various employee records which must be made and retained.
This will be a “hands on” session during which we will discuss the various components that make an effective warning letter (with examples of what to include). This is a “must” listen topic.
We will examine the significant changes to the Employment Standards Act which take effect on January 1, 2019. These changes affect scheduling and so much more, and have the potential to cause serious confusion in regards to the relative rights of employees and employers.
